I know we are all excited about bringing in a Gordon Hayward, Blake Griffin or a Kevin Durant but as most of us know the new CBA makes that a bit more difficult for us. I'm wondering if people had some ideas on some under the radar names they would like to see us try for in the upcoming free agency class? A few that come to mind to myself would be.
Andre Iguodala: Super sub, another playmaker and leadership for this team. He can also hit the three and has some crunch time ability. His contract with GS is up and it will be hard for them to keep Curry, Durant (if he stays) and Iggy. So I could see him seeking out another contender type of team.
Zach Randolph: Great rebounding PF/C, getting older but might want to look and go after a ring. He could be a great first big off the bench. Imagine him in Kelly O's roll. Some range but maybe not as good of a passer.
Festus Ezeli: Potential starter, decent defensively and can rebound with the best if given some time to do so. I think slotting him in at the 5 20-26min per game and moving Horford to the 4 could be a great idea for our team. I say a guy like Ezeli over Nerlens Noel would be smart long term because of his offensive limitations. Ezeli could be had at a much cheaper price and he helps solve our most prominent problem, rebounding. (His health obviously is important, last thing you want is a big with a bad knee)
Who does the rest of Celtic nation and the others around the NBA fan base think could be some "under the radar" type of free agent signings?
Thinking about the idea of us is letting Amir, Zeller and Kelly or Jerebko walk and be replaced with a combo of Iggy, Z-Bo and Ezeli makes me super intrigued with the options we may have come free agency time.
