With a new year comes change. As many of you have probably noticed, beloved moderator /u/Thrashfan was recently and ruthlessly kicked off of the moderator team for this subreddit (most likely due to the power-hungry mods trying to control the subreddit for their own).
Since Thrash was the only moderator who actually did any work around here, it's imperative that we elect a new moderator with the same skillset as him to replace him. So, below I have listed some of the best qualities about Thrash that should be considered when you consider who to vote for in the upcoming election.
CANDIDATE STRENGTHS SHOULD INCLUDE:
- CSS experience/ability
- Loving personality
- Burning passion for the Atlanta Hawks
- A healthy dose of pessimism for the Atlanta Hawks
- Regular visits to /r/AtlantaHawks
- Being a man of the people
- CSS experience/ability
If you fit the description above and are interested in becoming a moderator, please comment below with a brief description of why you believe you are the man for the job (hint: we need someone with CSS skills).
Additionally, if there is anyone on this subreddit that you know would fit this skillset, you are welcome to nominate them if you think they might be willing to do so.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of this election. Getting involved in grassroots government elections such as this one is how we become the change we want to see - and I want to see some transparency. Who KNOWS what these mods are doing behind the scenes?
