Long time Celtics fan here... I've been around since the Hondo, Jo-Jo, Cowens days. I don't post much, but I'd like to shout out some praise to Danny for the work he's done.
When he brought onboard KG and Allen to team with PP, it was quickly obvious we had something special. Problem was, they were veterans who were not getting any younger, so you knew there was a window of opportunity, and it closed faster than I wanted! After the trade that sent them away to the Nets, I was concerned we'd end up with something like what happened throughout much of the 90's... ugly! Don't remember who the GM was at that time... or owner(s) for that matter, but it was not fun.
He's made some questionable decisions (Perk for Green?), but I love what Danny has done. These Celtics are largely young and fun and have a fantastic coach (another great DA decision)! And bonus... we have 2 more Nets picks that should help stock even more young talent for the future!!
Lastly... I see the Lakers are coming to town this Friday. So, I'd like to start this one a few days early...
