In games against the top 9 teams in the NBA, Atlanta is 5-4. Boston is 1-9 and Toronto is 5-9.

We have key wins over Cleveland, San Antonio, and Houston, as well as splits against Toronto and OKC.

Let's bring it in even tighter. Atlanta is 3-1 against teams that are over .700, while Toronto is 1-6 and Boston is 0-5.

Yet somehow the Celtics and Raptors have "the best shot" at dethroning the Cavs, while the Hawks are a "mediocre" team??? Keep in mind we're only 3 games behind the 2nd seed as it is.

Yeah we lose to a lot of garbage teams, but the media narrative is really damaging the state of the Hawks right now. If we were suddenly touted as "semi-contenders" we would have so much more leverage in trades and be under much less pressure to rebuild/retool.
