-He is not young. This is not a bad thing, however. The Celtics are very young and could certainly use a veteran if we expect to excel in the playoffs. Chandler won't be rattled if Derozan or LeBron throw down a monster slam in front of their home crowd.
-12 rebounds per game this year. Bam. The 7.8 ppg is just a bonus. Not blocking as many shots nowadays, being 34 can do that to you. That being said, he's blocking .3 fewer shots per game than Amir Johnson.
-Getting paid 12.4 million this year, 13 million next year, then 13.5. The money sort of works out if we send Amir out (which I would admittedly feel bad seeing him go). It's sort of a long term commitment for an old fella like Chandler, but that sweet sweet TV money is rolling in and, again, good veteran presence. Unless he has some crazy locker room shit from back in the day that I don't know about.
