Celtics VS Wizards Cage Match

We all saw the scuffle at the end of the game and it got me thinking, if there were 1v1 matchups in a cage match between the two teams, who would come out on top?

Round 1 Trey Burke (6-1 191) vs Isaiah Thomas (5'9 185)

Trey Burke has 4 inches on the little guy but only six pounds. Isaiah is small but scrappy, and pound for pound the toughest dude in the NBA. Not to mention he's tight with Floyd so he probably gets free boxing lessons from the champ. Winner: Isaiah Thomas

Round 2 Avery Bradley (6-2 180) vs John Wall (6-4 195)

Avery Bradley is a tough dude with athleticism that catches you by surprise sometimes, but John Wall is on another level. He is too quick and too big for Avery to bang with. Winner: John Wall

Round 3 Marcus Smart (6-4 220) vs Bradley Beal (6-5 207)

Surprisingly enough Marcus Smart grew up in Flower Mound, a region of Texas where the median income is over $100,000. Meanwhile Bradley Beal grew up in St. Louis which has much more of a fighter upbringing. With that said, Marcus Smart is still the one of the toughest dudes in the NBA right now. He bodies bigs in the paint and will go after anyone, including Lebron James. Beal is faster which will be beneficial for him, but Marcus is just too strong and would knock him out. Winner: Marcus Smart

Round 4 Jae Crowder (6-6 235) vs Otto Porter (6-8 198)

There is no clean matchup for Jae Crowder so he's going to have to fight the taller but smaller Otto Porter. Jae is a wall of pure muscle while Otto Porter is lanky as hell. He would definitely have a reach on Jae, but truthfully I think Otto could get 5 free shots on Crowders face and it wouldn't faze him. Crowder could break Porter in half over his knee like Bo Jackson did to baseball bats. Winner: Jae Crowder

Round 5 Al Horford (6-10 245) vs Marcin Gortat (6-11 240)

Al Horford is the much better athlete here and he'll be able to move in on Gortat much more quickly. I was originally going to give this fight to Gortat just because he's Russian, but I soon found out he's not Russian, he's Polish! That's a big downgrade for him, however his dad Janusz Gortat has two bronze medals for boxing as a light heavyweight. Al is also way too nice and looks like he couldn't take a punch. Winner: Marcin Gortat

Round 6 Kelly Olynyk (7-0 238) vs Markieff Morris (6-10 245)

Strictly from the eye test Markieff Morris looks like he would wipe the floor with Kelly Olynyk. Kelly also has a girls name and has a pony tail which is a major disadvantage. However Kelly brings a special brand of awkward jui jitsu that is way too technical for Markieff to handle. Kelly perfectly executed an arm bar on Kevin Love that took him out of the playoffs. Morris would try to strike at Kelly but his zero body awareness would work as an advantage for Kelly and he'd finish the bout with a tap out. Winner: Kelly Olynyk

Round 7: Final Round Jaylen Brown (6-7 225) vs Kelly Oubre (6-8 205)

It's tied at 3 and it comes down to a battle between the youngn's. Oubre grew up in New Orleans so he had a tougher upbringing compared to Jaylen Brown being born in Marietta, Georgia. Jaylen is a much better athlete though, and although he would have no idea what he's doing he'd still find ways to make an impact. Despite having 20lbs on Oubre this fight would go down to the wire, but when it's all said and done I think Jaylen would come out on top. Winner: Jaylen Brown
