Right now is a confusing time for us Hawks fans. we're playing extremely well but are looking at a Millsap departure at the end of the season. I think this team could play well enough to get eliminated in the second round of the playoffs but realistically this squad cannot win a championship. it's just a sad situation. I think the best thing would to sit and wait for teams to get more desperate to unload Millsap for a good package. I would not mind seeing us trade him to Denver for Kenneth Faried, Galinari, Jusuf Nukic and a first round pick. Faried provides an above average defender whose immensely athletic who could ideally fill the whole of Millsap. Galinari gives us a true scoring threat from the wing and added depth could help spread our offense out. while Nukic is a young upside center who could add some quality depth. I would throw in Thabo and someone else if we could get a slew of draft picks. we should balance building around Schroeder while remaining competitive while still having Dwight but undoubtedly we need to get younger. I love THJ coming up in Korvers spot I think THJ could be a very good starting shooting gaurd in this league he has so much potential and can score in bunches on any given night and is an above average defender. I don't think millsap leaving means we tank I think we need to find a balance of remaining competitive and flexible for the future cause obviously with the top heavy nba if you want to get the best possible outcome from what we currently have its balancing both.
