I've gotta say I'm becoming more and more confident this Celtics team will pull down the 2 seed.
15-5 with the starting five intact (.750% vs Toronto .688% on the season)
8-2 over the last 10 with 8 of those games coming against teams who would be playoff teams if the season ended today.
3 seed in spite of being tied 2nd in the NBA for most road games as of the end of December
This team is trending upwards fast and is just 2.5 games behind Toronto. If both teams stay healthy it's tough to imagine Toronto keeping pace. If we consider that injuries will happen, there aren't many teams who rely on 1-2 guys more than Toronto does Lowry and Derozan while the celtics have proved that they can still be an upper echelon eastern team while missing multiple key guys.
I think celtics have the 2 seed by the all star break and finish the season with it.
