Zeller was resigned this offseason cannot be traded until his Jan 14th restriction expires. One would assume Zeller (2 years, 8 Million) and/or Johnson (1 year, 12 Million) would be part of any package that brings back a large salary superstar player.
Especially since the Celtics assets such as Smart (3.5), Rozier (1.9), Brown (4.7), Olynyck (3) make so little.
If you fiddle around with the Trade Machine you quickly come to the conclusion that any deal is easier to make once Zellers contract is in play, a lot of deals without his 8 million dollar salary require you to add a piece like Bradley or Jerebko to make the money work.
At least I hope this is what Danny is waiting for, I'm of the opinion we need to use our young assets now because were more than one piece away. We can't wait until Bradley or I.T's contracts are up.
Thoughts?
