OLYNYK NEEDS TO GET PUNCHED IN THE FACE

Now, that may seem a little harsh, but last time Olynyk got a massive black eye he started playing great basketball. It’s been about a year and a half since Olynyk was clocked upside the head, and his aggression seems to have faded in that time as well. Against the Warriors, Olynyk put up zero points in 17 minutes of action. Avery Bradley said something to then effect of ‘As Olynyk goes, so the team goes’ last season. That may seem a little surprising, but Bradley has a case to say that again this season.

In the Celtics 3 wins since Olynyk’s return, Olynyk made 16 of his 32 shots, including 5 for 12 from deep. In the Celtics 3 losses since his return, he’s made 2 of his 19 shots, including 1 for 12 from deep. If Olynyk is playing well, the Celtics are pretty much going to win the game. His size, range, mild point guard skills, and mobility can really disrupt an opposing team’s defense. I’m sure his shoulder isn’t back to full strength yet, but he needs to become a more consistent player. There’s a good chance that he gets demoted to the ninth or tenth guy to come off the bench if/when the Celtics return to full strength. But, there is a possibility that he could continue to start, or earn a starting role on this team, even if they are at full strength.

This is a copy paste from my 3 Up 3 Down about the Warriors.
