So if you are enamored with Josh Jackson, Markelle Fultz or Harry Giles - that's fine. I get it. But I was burned in this years draft just limiting my analysis to Dragan Bender, Jamal Murray and Kriss Dunn and all of the sudden Danny takes Jaylen - which now seems like the best choice at that slot (even though some draft boards had him going as late as 9)
Now with my analysis of the 2017 draft I am looking much deeper and I got to say "wow - when they said this draft is loaded they mean it". I know there are players here that I did not mention, but I definitely recommend you check out the tape on Frank Ntilikina, Marques Bolden, or Jonathan Isaac.
Isaac is 6-10 with a 7.1 wingspan that plays like a guard. Dare I say he reminds me of KD?????? Giannis maybe??? Ntilikina I can't believe is only 18 - his handle and court vision are to me so much more advanced then his age. And while I am not as sold on Bolden yet he looked really good in the All-American game. And anyone who is 6-11 with a 7-6 wingspan that can do what he does is definitely worth checking out. I will love to see what krzyzewski can do with him. I never thought I would be interested in college ball - Thank You Nets!!!
While there is still a high probability that we trade the pick and all these wet dreams go unsatisfied, I can't help thinking that if we do keep the pick (even if we wind up out of the top 5) we have such a great chance of selecting a future game changer.
