Assuming the Mavs pick is in the 10-16 range, would anyone else be willing to take the chance on Skal still? He's still a terrific athlete, and 4 months ago some boards even had him above Simmons.
Calipari hasn't done much for him, but the kid was ranked 1/2 because of his ceiling, and there may not be a better coach than Stevens right now to develop him. To get what could/should have been a top 3 pick in the 10-15 round would be a coup, and it's not like the Celtics need their 2nd pick to produce right away.
Something to consider.
