Celtics Beat featured Bob Ryan. They touched briefly upon the last few games and some general discussion about where the team is at but almost all of this show is dedicated to the 1986 Boston Celtics. I give credit where credit is due - LHR’s memory and knowledge is frighteningly good and he’s great here with Ryan. Just remarkable how he and Ryan were able to pinpoint a lot of random occurrences and regular season games. This episode is pretty damn hardcore. Little talk about today, Ryan saying he has “no doubt” Marcus Smart will be a great player in this league and refuses to give up on Sullinger but really a great show for old-time fans.
Was able to hunt down a WEEI podcast which had Chris Forsberg on. Just some all-around the Celtics spectrum talk - they asked Chris a lot of questions regarding how good Jae Crowder has gotten, some All Star team talk. Then just some other fun chatter regarding Crowder’s hair, etc, etc.
NATIONAL COVERAGE
Not much on the national scene this week for the Celtics but there were a few really good shows that would be a good listen.
