Hi, my name is Fikri. I’m from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and I love the Boston Celtics.
I’m here because I want to share about what I think the Celtics should not do; I think the Celtics should not trade for DeMarcus Cousins.
I know many of us who are very exited about banner 18 want DeMarcus — and I get it. He is arguably the best offensive Center in the NBA, he average around ten rebounds per game, and he has a cool personality. All-Star. But to tell you the truth, I really don’t like his overall effort when he plays a basketball game.
Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Kwahi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart — do you know what they have in common? Yes! grit, defense, hustle, relentlessness. And I think these are the type of players that we need for a championship team. Remember when Rondo was actually playing defense along Tony Allen? We need that. We don’t need to get a big like DeMarcus and sacrifice for him.
Ok, last question: can you picture any of the players I mentioned along Marcus and Avery doing this?
