You have to give it up to Bazemore and the Hawk's player development. Bazemore now looks like a player who would start on more NBA teams than not. This is the 3rd time the modern Hawks organization has turned a second string wing into a legit starter (Korvor, Carroll and now Baze).
Look at Baze's Per Game and Per 36 stats so far compared to DeMarre's last year.
Per Game: 12.7/4.6/2.4 (Baze) Per Game: 12.6/5.3/1.7 (14-15 DMC)
Per 36: 16.0/5.8/3.0 (Baze) Per 36: 14.5/6.1/1.9 (14-15 DMC)
He's also averaging more steals and blocks per 36 (slightly lower 2P% but higher 3P%).
Now if the Hawks organization can do the same for THJ...we might end up with someone to replace Bazemore's production when he leaves us in FA for a $12 million+ a year contract with another team.
