Its no surprise the Celtics are on the rise this year making more noise than ever in the past 3 years. With each win the Celtics are gaining attention throughout reddit. If you have posted in r/nba or read r/nba posts associated with the Celtics you may have noticed we have a target on our back lately. I feel like celtics fans have been getting a lot of hate lately and I kind of see...why.

We're a winning team! Just like any good team, as wins come so will the hate. Golden State, the Pats, etc. share a target on reddit.

People being salty about our players. Where do I start? Olynk ripping Kevin Love's arm, Jae Crowder situation with the fans then getting in a post game fight with Wall which ignited r/nba and spread like wildfire. Our physical defense (which is lame, ya) which created Otto's comments. Marcus Smart. Then now we have Isaiah Thomas being accused of cursing Schroeder's mom.

Front office jealousy. Good coach? Yes. Most successful trades? Yes. Most assets in league? Yes. Top 2 pick in the draft? Yes (tap on wood). Most nba championships in nba history? Yes. Yes, we will be hated.
There's a lot of hate out there on reddit for the Celtics, some of them maybe salty fans (not gonna say which fan base but they are in our division), maybe 2 or so playoff rival? Some of them are trolls, but I guess this is the fun in sports right?
Tl;dr : We're a good team which creates attention, our players also create a lot of attention.
