It's become abundantly clear that the Raptors,Hawks,Wizards and the knicks are very desperate to have a rivalry with us at this point. We do have losses to the Raptors,Wizards and Knicks this year and we lost to the Hawks in the playoffs last year. But my thing is that non of those losses with maybe the exception being the Raptors ones(not because the loss came at the hands of the raptors but because they are the 2nd seed for the time being) felt like they stung any worse then a loss to the Rockets for example and it didn't suck last year that we got kicked out of the playoffs by the hawks it just sucked that we got kicked out of the playoffs.
For example I'm a Ravens fan and anytime we either lose to the Pats/Bengals or especially the steelers it feels 10x as bad as losing to the Bills or whoever and vice versa when we win.
Anyway it just feels like teams are trying to manufacture rivalries with the Celtics right now for whatever reason. I mean rivalries do make the game more fun but you can't really force them they need to come naturally over time.
