So as the trade deadline looms, it seems everyone has their opinions on trades that would work for the Cs who seem hold the cards year after year. Here are few reasonable trades that aren't the typical, Boogie, Butler or Hayward trades. Before I start imo IT4 and Brown, and are the only two that are virtually untouchable. So let's begin.
Cs get Nerlens Noel
76ers get Avery Bradley
Straight up swap makes sense for both sides as 76ers unclog their front court jam, and replace him with a guard to help build up the Simmons/Embiid era. Cs also clear up room for Smart to shift into a better suited starting lineup and give Rozier some more minutes to prove what he can do. As well as getting a potential great big man without having to sell the farm.
Cs get Jabari Parker
Bucks get Jae Crowder Marcus Smart 2018 Nets 1st
You could make the argument that the Cs are over paying but the upside of Parker as well as his fit for the future is pretty eminent. A future lineup of Thomas, Bradley, Brown, Parker, Horford (Fultz, Ball.) would be interesting and he would benefit the future of this team adding superstar talent to pair with Jaylen, as well bolster their current squad.
Cs get Aaron Gordon
Magic get Jae Crowder Rights to Yabu 2017 1st
What do we lack?... rebounding. Sorely. Gordon not only addresses that issue but he adds an physical body that can explode for 30+ some nights. as well as the youth that fits well with Jaylen. Magic get to add to their young team with a first round pick in the draft as well as spot up scorer, and a serviceable big man. We keep our 2018 and take another young great player.
Cs get Andrew Bogut
Mavs get Amir Johnson Cs late 2017 pick
Not the sexiest trade but playing it safe seems to be Ainges go-to move, and before you say something. I'm talking wherever the Cs own pick ends up, probably in the 20-26 range. Add Johnson and both sides walk away appeased. Cs set up better for a deeper playoff run.
Blockbuster alert.....
Cs get Blake Griffin Paul pierce
Clips get Jae Crowder Avery Bradley Rights to Yabu 2017 first rounder 2017 Cs first rounder 2018 first rounder
Swinging for the fences. The clips clearly haven't been able to win with this core and it's eminent that they may not even be close to the second best team in the west. Why stick around and wait for this to blow up? They gotta be thinking BLOW IT UP. Cash in..the Cs get their superstar...oh and Blake Griffin. Clips get to build for the future.
